Man Sentenced To 12 Years For Drug Offences
A 29-year-old man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison today over drug offences.
The Class A, B and C drugs, worth an estimated street value of £1.5 million, were recovered back in August 2005.
The seizure was the result of a planned operation by drug squad officers in the greater Belfast area.
Welcoming the length of the sentence, Detective Inspector Peter Moore said it reflected the severity of the crime and "sends out a strong message that those involved with this type of criminal activity will be dealt with robustly".
