Death Stalks Roads Once More
The Province's tragic death toll continues to rise with news that a second person has died following a road traffic accident in County Londonderry, police have said.
The two vehicle collision happened on Duncastle Road, Newbuildings, at about 5.45pm on Wednesday.
A woman died after the accident and this morning a man, aged in his 30s, had also died.
Another woman who was taken to hospital is understood not to have sustained life-threatening injuries. The Duncastle Road remains closed.
So far this year, 88 people have died on Northern Ireland's roads: nearly nine people a month on average or around two deaths per week.

Roads death toll rises after Co Antrim crash
A man has died following a serious road accident on the Glenavy Road in Co Antrim. The accident involved a car and lorry on Wednesday afternoon. The road was closed for a time and traffic was diverted from the area. Police investigating the collision are appealing for any witnesses to contact them at Lisburn station on 028 9266 5212.

Local roads get record £80m spend
A record £80 million will be spent on structural roads maintenance this year across Northern Ireland. The figure was revealed by Deputy Divisional Roads Manager, Tom McCourt as he presented DRD Roads Service’s autumn report to Newtownabbey Borough Council. Mr McCourt said: "This is a huge increase in investment over previous years.
