Gem Of A Contract Creates 100 Extra Jobs
Belfast Company Gem Call Centre is to create 100 new jobs thanks to a major contract win.
The company has secured a deal with Irish communications company Perlico, a subsidiary of Vodafone.
Gem will initially provide inbound sales services to the Irish market for the sale of fixed line telephones, fixed line broadband, mobile phones, mobile broadband and laptops. Other products and services will be added within months.
The Chief Executive Officer Philip Cassidy further revealed that the tie-up meant the Belfast company, through Perlico, will also be providing services to Vodafone from next month.
He said: "This achievement can be attributed to gem's commitment to the Perlico brand and the exceptional calibre of service already provided by our people. Northern Ireland continues to be the preferred location for high end contact centre services."

A Belfast based call centre is expected to create around 300 new jobs, it has today been revealed. The company, Gem, has just won four major contracts, including Channel Four and online entertainment company Play.com.
