Gang Beat Pair
A large 10-strong gang has beaten two men outside their County Antrim home.
Police are investigating whether a sectarian motive was behind the attack at Sentry Hollow in Ballymena.
The incident occurred at about 11.30pm on Saturday but police have just released details of the viscous attack.
The men, aged 20 and 21, suffered cuts and bruises to their faces and bodies when they left their home after hearing the sound of glass smashing.
As they came out to investigate, they were attacked by the gang.
The SDLP assembly member for the area, Declan O'Loan, condemned the assault and said all house-holders "had the right to check their own property without threat of attack".
