Three arrested in McIlveen murder probe
Police investigating the murder of a Ballymena schoolboy Michael McIlveen have today arrested three people.
A man and a woman are currently being questioned over assisting an offender, and a teenager is also being held on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Michael McIlveen, 15, a pupil at Saint Patrick's College in Ballymena, was beaten to death by a loyalist gang during a sectarian attack in the town in May this year.
A total number of seven people have so far been charged with offences relating to the murder.

Hard-Hitting Road Safety Message Delivered To Young People
Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.

Schoolboy Murder Convictions Quashed
Three men will face a retrial after their convictions for murdering a County Antrim schoolboy were declare unsafe. Aaron Wallace, 23, Christopher Kerr 25, and Jeff Lewis, 22, all of Ballymena, were convicted of killing 15-year-old Michael McIlveen in May 2006. Wallace and Lewis were originally found guilty of murder.

Ballymena Teen Murder Trial To Move Court
The trial of six people accused of murdering a Ballymena teenager has been moved to a new court. Defence teams for those going on trial accused of murdering 15-year-old Michael McIlveen said they do not believe a fair trial would be possible because Coleraine Court was not big enough. The case will now be heard in Antrim court.
