Man Held Over Co Derry Abduction Claim
A suspect has been arrested as detectives investigate the alleged abduction of a teenage girl, aged 14.
The 39-year-old man was held after the girl reported that she was bundled into the boot of a car by a man as she was walked along Glenshane Road.
The incident was reported to have happened in Dungiven in County Londonderry on Monday morning.
She said she was driven to an isolated area of the town but managed to escape across nearby fields.
Police want anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged Over Abduction Of Teenage Girl
A man has been charged in connection with the abduction of a teenage girl from the Cookstown. The girl is believed to have gone missing on Sunday, 11 February, and was in his company at the time. She returned home on Monday, 12 February. The man is due to appear before Omagh Magistrates' Court.

Attempted abduction in County Down
Police in County Down have appealed for information following the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl yesterday evening. The incident happened in the Hill Street area of Ardglass at around 8pm, when a man in a small white coloured five-door car, stopped beside the child and offered her a lift.

The girls was walking along the Newcastle Road, Castlewellan, at 4.30pm, when she approached by a man who attempted to grab her arm and pull her towards him. However, she was able to struggle free from the clutches of the man and alert police.

Police in County Tyrone have appealed for information following a possible abduction attempt yesterday evening. Two men are believed to have approached three children, two girls aged 12 and seven, and a boy aged ten outside a supermarket filling station on the Sweep Road at around 6pm.
