Concerns grow about missing Greenisland girls
Police in Carrickfergus say they are increasingly concerned about the safety of two teenage girls who have not been seen since Thursday August 22.
Samantha McDonald and Michelle Collins, who are both aged 15 and from the Greenisland area, were last seen at 8pm at the Shore Road home of one of the girls.
The girls' anguished parents appealed for the girls to return home. In a statement they said that they thought the girls had been in the company of a 21-year-old man. The parents said that they just wanted to know that the girls were safe and asked them to contact police or a family member urgently.
Police believe that the girls may have stayed at an address at Mullaghmore Park, Greenisland, but there has been no definite sighting of them since that time.
It is understood that the girls may have several changes of clothes with them.
Blond haired Samantha is 5ft tall, of slim build, with a fair complexion, and has blue eyes.
Michelle is described as 5ft tall with a plump build, fair complexion, blue eyes and light brown curly hair.
Anyone who knows of the girls' whereabouts should contact police at Carrickfergus on 028 9335 1880.
