French IT Company announces 63 Belfast jobs
A French-owned IT company has announced the creation of 63 new jobs in Belfast.
The leading European telecommunications company, which provides management of electronic records and customer relations across the world, currently employs 18,000 people in 16 countries. Two hundred of these jobs are in Northern Ireland.
NI Executive Economy Minister Arlene Foster said: "Steria is a major player in the European systems integration market.
"Its decision to locate a centre of excellence in Belfast is testimony to its confidence in Northern Ireland."
She continued: "Once again our strong knowledge base, impressive ICT infrastructure and pool of IT graduates have attracted a global enterprise that recognises the contribution that the region can make to growth and profitability."
Last year the Paris-based company had revenue of more than €1bn.

Almost 200 jobs could go in Fermanagh
Almost 200 jobs could be axed if a County Fermanagh food plant is forced to close. Moy Park foods has said that it has entered into talks with staff over the possible closure of its factory, formerly known as Ferne Foods, in Lisnaskea.

600 Jobs In New H&W Contract
600 workers have been recruited on short-term contracts with Belfast shipbuilders Harland and Wolff. The positions have been created as the company prepares to carry out maintenance on an oil rig. The 360ft tall Blackford Dolphin drill platform is being moved from Brazil to Northern Ireland for the job, which will take nearly two months.
