Lorry Makes Unexpected Delivery

There was high drama on Monday when a lorry crashed into a village supermarket. Today, investigators are trying to determine how the Scania HGV flipped onto its side and careered into the side of a Mace store in Waringstown near Lurgan. The lorry was being driven along the straight stretch of Main Street when it plunged into the tiny shop at around 8.30am yesterday. It is believed any shoppers and staff inside escaped unhurt but the condition of the driver is not known. Police as well as an ambulance and a fire crew were still at the scene around 10 hours after the crash trying to remove the lorry from the side of the building.
