Traffic Wardens Protest Sacking
The people who police parking and traffic offences are in revolt.
A group of traffic attendants are today to make a renewed protest after their sudden dismissal.
The workers were sacked after an unofficial 'walk out' in protest about conditions, including sickness pay and sudden rota changes on their duties.
The wardens - who were NCP employees - will make their anger felt at Belfast City Hall and the Department for Regional Development on Tuesday.
The Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance (NIPSA) General Secretary John Corey said: "These traffic attendants provided an important public service to the community.
"They did not deserve to be treated as they have been by this private sector company.
"This union is determined to do everything possible to overturn these grossly unfair and unjustified dismissals.
"We are calling on all political representatives, other trade unions and the public to give their support to these workers campaigning to get their jobs back."

The 30 employees, members of Unite the union, will strike against APCOA Parking, which has the contract from Hackney council to run the service, for 48 hours from 00.
