Susan Boyle's Odyssey To Continue

The troubled reality TV star, singer Susan Boyle is expected to appear as scheduled in Belfast this week.

She is one of the star performers as part of the Britain's Got Talent live tour which is coming to the Odyssey Arena on Wednesday night. However, Boyle (pictured) has missed several shows as part of the UK tour to date due to speculated ill health.

"At the moment we are expecting Susan to perform in Belfast, but we are led by her and her representatives on a daily basis," said a press statement yesterday.

However, there was no "firm commitment that the singer would definitely be in the province", leading to continued doubts about her making the Belfast stage.

The singer was admitted to a psychiatric hospital suffering from exhaustion in the aftermath of the reality television show.

The 48-year-old came to prominence after wowing a worldwide audience with her rendition 'I dreamed a dream' from Les Miserables in auditions earlier this year.

Despite finishing runner-up in the ITV series, Boyle is predicted to earn millions, having earned the adulation of America in particular.

Since then, it has emerged that her trip to Ulster would be something of a homecoming as the Scottish singer's parents were both originally from Donegal.

The popular show - which took the nation by storm - was eventually won by street dancing group, Diversity.

Diversity and Boyle will be joined in the Odyssey Arena by all eight other finalists including, Julian Smith, Shaheen Jafargholi, Aidan Davis, Stavros Flatley, Hollie Steel, Shaun Smith, Flawless and 2 Grand. Last year's overall winner George Sampson will also be performing.
