Local business invited to enter HSBC Start-Up Awards
Northern Ireland's best new businesses have been invited to take part in the HSBC Start-Up Stars awards, which offers a £20,000 cash prize to the successful finalist.
Open to any fledgling business that has been trading for less than two years, the awards aim to encourage those striving to establish a business. HSBC estimate that each year, around 400,000 people in the UK start up their own business, and is looking to reward those firms demonstrating a flair for success and the skills to succeed.
John Rendall, Head of Banking at HSBC, said: "The response to last year's awards exceeded all our expectations. It generated entries from a fascinating and inspiring range of businesses. The winners showed that a good idea, fuelled by determination and flair, can be turned into outstanding business success."
The awards have been welcomed by a wide variety of business organisations including the Confederation of British Industry and British Chambers of Commerce - which will be represented on the judging panel - as well as the Department of Trade and Industry.
Entry forms can be obtained from HSBC branches or by contacting the Organiser's Office directly on 0870 902 3333.
