Security Alert In Ballykinler
A security alert has forced the closure of the Commons Road area in Ballykinler, Co Down.
The area was sealed off following the discovery of a suspicious object by police on Monday morning.
Army technical officers have been informed and is has been reported that a police helicopter is also at the scene.
Members of the public have been advised to avoid the area.

'Small Bomb' Found During Security Alert
Army bomb experts have been called to examine an explosive device found at an apartment block in east Belfast. Police said that a number of residents were evacuated from the apartments in the Short Strand Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. They described the device as a "small bomb". No further details have been released.

A security alert in Ballynahinch, County Down, has been declared a hoax. Police and Army bomb experts were called to the Riverview Heights area following reports of a suspicious object at around 8pm on Thursday 24 January. A number of homes were evacuated while the object was examined.

Security Alert Ends In West Belfast
A security alert in west Belfast has ended after nothing untoward was found. Army bomb experts were called to St Mary's Gardens in the Beechmount area around 9.30pm on Thursday night to examine a car. Some 100 homes were evacuated during the alert, with residents being moved to a nearby community centre.
