Security Alert Ends In West Belfast
A security alert in west Belfast has ended after nothing untoward was found.
Army bomb experts were called to St Mary's Gardens in the Beechmount area around 9.30pm on Thursday night to examine a car.
Some 100 homes were evacuated during the alert, with residents being moved to a nearby community centre.
After examining the suspect vehicle, army bomb experts declared nothing had been found.
The alert ended just before 6am this morning (Friday) with residents allowed to return home.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
