Fitters may install underlay, door bars and threshold strips, and can work on stairs, landings and awkwardly shaped rooms. Some also move furniture by arrangement or dispose of old flooring, though these services are not always included. Carpet fitters may handle repairs, re-stretching or replacement of damaged sections, depending on the material and condition of the carpet.
