Walsall Shop Is Held Up
Police in the West Midlands are hunting two men who held up a busy shop last weekend.
The two men, aged in their 20s, walked into the Bloxwich Costcutter store on Fishley Lane at around 6.20pm on Saturday 20 November and tried to grab cash from the till.
One of the men then threatened the female shop assistant with a kitchen knife before making off with a few hundred pounds.
Detective constable Mark Waite from Bloxwich CID said: "The shop was busy with a few customers at the time of the robbery and all of those people would have been fearful of what might happen.
"Thankfully no-one was hurt, but we need to catch these men who were prepared to threaten violence with a knife.
"We urge anyone who saw them flee the scene to come forward and tell us what they know."
The offenders are described as white men, in their mid 20s, wearing dark coloured clothing. One wore a balaclava and the other had blonde hair.
Both men ran from the shop, in the direction of Millfield Avenue, Bloxwich.
