Appeal Following London Jewel Heist
Detectives in Westminster investigating a jewellery heist have appealed for information.
The jewellers on Old Bond Street was targeted by thieves on Tuesday morning.
Police have now revealed the robbers made off with a number of items from the Mappin and Webb window display.
It is understood three motorbikes had approached the store from Hyde Park Corner; and parked on the pavement. Two pillion passengers got off and smashed one of the main windows to the store using two sledgehammers.
The suspects then fled the scene on the motorbikes in the direction of Piccadilly Circus at around 11.15am.
Detective Inspector Sean Oxley, who is overseeing the investigation said: "The robbery took place in broad daylight and I would appeal for anyone with information that might identify the offenders to come forward and call us via Crimestoppers.
"At this early stage we believe a number of distinctive Rolex watches were taken and again if anyone is approached to purchase these items in the next few days again I would ask them to contact police."

Appeal Issued For Historical Items Stolen From Liverpool BoE Building
Police have appealed for information in tracing a number of items reportedly stolen from the former Bank of England building in Liverpool. A number of people were arrested at the building on Tuesday when police enforced a Warrant of Possession. When the building was subsequently inspected, a number of items were reported missing.

Detectives in Glasgow are continuing enquiries after a woman was indecently assaulted on Saturday in the Govan area. The 37-year-old woman was in a car park at Water Row, just off Govan Road, at around 8.30pm when she noticed a man lying on the ground.
