Red Arrows Crash In Crete
The RAF has said an investigation would be carried out after a Red Arrows pilot was taken to hospital following a mid-air crash between two planes during a training exercise in Crete. The pilot ejected from the aircraft following the collision over Hellenic Air Force Base in Kastelli during a pre-season exercise. Another member of the RAF aerobatic team, based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, landed safely.
Legal High Death
A woman whose family and friends said she had taken mephedrone "freely" has been found dead. She may have also taken other substances after it emerged that Lois Waters, 24, was found dead at a friend's house in Norton, near Malton, at 9am on Monday.
Missing Man 'Dead'
A missing man's family have been told that human remains found on a Borders beach are those of the County Durham man, John Nelson, 50. He was last seen on 28 December in Highfield Rise in his home town of Chester-le-Street. A body was discovered at St Abbs Head in Berwickshire on Saturday afternoon by passing canoeists. Police said that although a wallet containing ID was found on the body it could take some time for formal identification.
Wales Crash Road Stays Closed
A death road in wales will remain closed for "at least two to three days" after a crash between two lorries and a car killed two people and animals on a transporter. The A5 at Chirk, Wrexham, was closed in both directions at 4.20pm on Monday after the crash on a viaduct killed the drivers of a cattle lorry and the car. West Mercia Police said the road, on the border with Shropshire, would remain shut for structural engineering works.
Border Bomb Alert
A security alert in Co Armagh in Northern Ireland is causing severe disruption to traffic between the city of Newry and Dundalk in the Irish Republic. A PSNI spokesperson said the alert was in place on the M1, south of Newry. Gardaí have closed the road on southern side of the border and motorists have been warned of significant delays. Translink has again advised passengers that there is an ongoing security alert between Newry and Dundalk on the Belfast to Dublin line as well. As a result there will be a bus substitution service between Newry and Dundalk until further notice for all Enterprise services.

Four Questioned About Double Shooting
Four men are being questioned by the police after a double shooting left one man dead and a teenager injured in southeast London. The incident happened in East Dulwich on Thursday afternoon and the police confirmed a 21-year-old man was killed and a teenager was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound.

Two killed in bus crash
Two women have been killed in a crash involving a bus in Cheshire. The collision happened around 8:45am on Monday morning on Mobberly Road in Knutsford. According to initial eyewitness reports, the bus mounted the pavement and collided with the two women. However, police later said that the bus did not leave the road.
