Wife Remanded Over Spouse's Murder
A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of her estranged husband in Surrey at the weekend.
Sally Challen, 56, of Coverts Road, Claygate, appeared before Staines Magistrates' Court today, charged with the murder of her husband Richard Challen.
The 61-year-old was found dead at his home in Claygate, near Esher, Surrey on Sunday. A post mortem revealed that died from severe blunt force trauma to the head.
Mrs Challen was arrested on Sunday at Beachy Head, Sussex.
She has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Guildford Crown Court in the next two days.

An 18-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of two teenage boys in Wokingham at the weekend. Steven Bayliss, 16, and his friend, fourteen-year-old Nuttawut Nadauld – also known as Twood – were found dead in woods on the edge of Wokingham, Berkshire on Sunday night.
