Teenager Raped In Sudbury
Police in Sudbury are appealing for information after a 14-year-old girl was raped in the town. The girl had been with a friend outside a takeaway in North Street around 11:30pm on September 11, when they began talking to two men. One of the men then took the girl down an alleyway to a car park, where he raped her. The friend then walked into the car park and witnessed the attack. She shouted at the man, who then ran off into Girling Street towards East Street. The attacker is described as of mixed race with a tanned complexion, in his late twenties, of slim build with a large nose and short dark hair. He was wearing a cap and dark clothing and was smoking cigarettes.
Witnesses Sought Over Stonehouse Assault
Police investigating an assault in Stonehouse have issued a fresh appeal for information. Shortly before midnight on August 13, a 47-year-old man from Stroud was walking along Woodcock Lane when he was approached from behind and assaulted. He suffered injuries to his face in the attack, which was reported to police two days later. Unfortunately, the victim was unable to give a description of his attacker, so police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them on: 0845 090 1234 or Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
Fresh Appeal Over Oadby RTC
Police in Oadby have issued a fresh appeal for information about a road traffic collision which happened last month. The incident happened around 1:40pm on August 31 at the junction of the A6 and Regent Street between an HGV lorry and a 9-year-old boy on a bike. The boy suffered a broken leg in the crash. Some 100 riot police have been deployed in central London as protestors take to the streets to demonstrate ahead on the G8 summit being held in Northern Ireland next week. Officers were sent to Soho, where protesters are thought to have occupied a former police station on Beak Street.

Police Hunt Men After Officer Hurt In Hit-And-Run
Police in the West Midlands are searching for two men wanted in connection with a hit-and-run incident involving a Dudley police officer. It is understood that a police officer was attempting to make a vehicle stop at about 15:30 on Wolverhampton Road, but the car did not stop and hit the officer, before driving off.

Police Appeal For Information Following Three Street Robberies
Northumbria Police are appealing for information following three robberies in the Gateshead area on Sunday and Monday. Police said that an elderly woman was knocked to the ground on Ely Street when a man grabbed her shopping bag at about 10:10 on Monday morning. The woman is being treated in hospital.
