Further Arrests Following Battersea Murder
Detectives investigating the murder of Mahad Mohammed in Battersea on Wednesday have arrested two men on suspicion of murder..
On Wednesday around 1.30am, police were called to Wye Street, south west London, close to Pennethorne House following reports of a man suffering stab wounds.
London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified as Mahad Mohammed, 20, from Sporle Court, Winstanley Estate.
Next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination was held on Thursday at St George's Mortuary, Tooting. Police await a verdict.
The Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC) is investigating. An incident room has opened under Detective Chief Inspector Dave Manning.
On Wednesday a man, in his late teens, was arrested at an address in south London on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
Two men were arrested late on Thursday in south London on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at south London police stations.
DCI Dave Manning, HSCC, said: "We believe that Mahad may have had an altercation with a group of youths earlier in the evening and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this or who may have seen this group in the local area. I urge the local community to contact us with information and assist us in finding the person/s responsible for Mahad's murder."

Man Jailed For Attempted Murder Of Pc

Seven Charged Following Student Protests
Detectives from Operation Malone have charged seven people in connection with the incidents of disorder seen across central London in November and December of last year. Following a decision by the Crown Prosecution Service, the males were charged with a range of offences, including violent disorder and criminal damage.

Man arrested over Lalia Rezk murder
Police investigating the murder of mother-of-two Laila Rezk last year have arrested a man. Mrs Rezk, 51, was murdered shortly after returning to her home in Putney in south London last November. Her daughter found her, lying in her home suffering from severe head injuries, and she died later in hospital.

Police Hunt Following Teen Murder
Police are appealing for information following a murder in Southwark. Teenager Lyle Tulloch, from Peckham was stabbed at Newall House in Harper Road on Saturday. Lyle, 15, was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts from emergency services. A post mortem gave the cause of death as stab wounds and haemorrhaging.

26-Year-Old Charged With Party Murder
A 26-year-old man has been charged with the murder Jerome Edwards. Edwards, 23, from Catford, south London, was shot in the head at a party in the early hours of Sunday morning. He died in hospital hours after the shooting in Southwell Road, Camberwell.
