Teen Charged Over Preston Rape
An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Preston. The 24-year-old woman was attached near a multi-storey car park on Avenham Street around 4:30am on August 15. Adam Weatherall of Carbis Avenue, Grimsargh, has been charged with rape and has been remanded to appear at Preston Magistrates Court today.
Three Arrested Following Warrington Assault
Three men have been arrested after a man died following an assault in Warrington. The incident happened on Martin Avenue around 11:40pm on August 20. Police were called to the scene, where a 33-year-old man was found. He was taken to hospital, but died a short time later. A post-mortem is due to be carried out later today. Three men aged 35, 48 and 49, have been arrested and are being questioned by police. Appeal Over Motorcycle Collision
Police have appealed for witnesses after a motocyclist was seriously injured following a collision in Bretherton. The incident happened around 4:20pm on August 21, when two motorcycles, which had been travelling together, collided on the A59 Liverpool Road at Bretherton. One of the riders, a 48-year-old man from Liverpool, came off his bike and his left leg was completely severed at the knee at the scene. The other rider, a 36-year-old man also from Liverpool, fractured his foot. Both riders were taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. Three Held Over Liverpool Killing
Police have arrested three people following the brutal killing of a 56-year-old man in Liverpool. He was found shot dead after police officers were called to a house on Maritime Place shortly after 11pm on Wednesday. The victim was found lying in a bedroom with a number of gunshot wounds and the area around the victim's home has been sealed off.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.
