Tasered Man Dies In Bolton
A man from Greater Manchester who was Tasered by police after he stabbed himself has died. The incident happened shortly after 8:30pm on Tuesday, when police were called to a house on Salford Road, Over Hulton, following reports that a 53-year-old man had barricaded himself in the house with a knife and stabbed himself. Officers were threatened by the man, but they then entered the house and used a Taser. It was discovered that the man had a serious stab wound to his stomach and he was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital for treatment, but died a short time later. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today. The case is being investigated by Greater Manchester Police's Professional Standards Branch before a referral is made to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Missing Appleby Teen Sought
Cumbria Police are seeking information about a teenager from Appleby who has been missing since the weekend. Connor Gordon, 15, was last seen at the Vue Cinema in Carlisle at around 6:30pm on August 21. Connor is described as 5'7" inches tall with short fair hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded top, blue jeans and black training shoes. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on: 0845 33 00 247.
Man Arrested Over Morpeth Death
Northumbria Police have arrested a man on suspicion of manslaughter after a man died in hospital following an incident in Morpeth. Police were called to Wansbeck Hospital shortly before 6:30pm yesterday after a 52-year-old man was admitted following an altercation. It is understood that the man went shopping in Sanderson Arcade around 3pm yesterday and while there, he was involved in a verbal altercation with another man. The argument continued on the street outside, where the victim was then assaulted. He was taken to hospital, where he died shortly after 5:30pm. An investigation has been launched and a 55-year-old man is being held on suspicion of manslaughter. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on: 03456 043 043.

A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

A taxi driver, who was found with serious injuries at a roadside in Birmingham, has died. The man, aged in his 30s, was discovered in Wast Hill Lane, in Hopwood, at about 10.50pm on Wednesday. He died shortly after in hospital. A 100-metre stretch of the residential road is closed, while a forensic tent has been erected in the cordoned off zone.
