Woman Convicted Of Killing Elderly Husband
A woman in her 50s has been convicted of killing her elderly husband at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Leonora Sinclair, 50, of Windward Close, Enfield was found guilty at the Old Bailey of the manslaughter of her 73-year old husband.
The London Ambulance Service called police at approx 10.20pm on January 15 after discovering Winston Lloyd Sinclair [known as Lloyd] had been injured at the family home.
Mr Sinclair was taken to Chase Farm Hospital where he died the following day. A post mortem examination gave cause of death as a stab wound to the leg.
Detective Inspector Ken Hughes of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "I would like to pay tribute to Mr Sinclair's family who have dealt with this tragedy with great dignity and grace. I hope the conviction of Leonora Sinclair offers them some comfort and enables them to move on with their lives."
Sinclair was arrested at their home address in connection with the incident and on Tuesday 18 January she was charged with the murder of her husband.
She will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on 6 December 2011.

Two Arrested In Stockwell Shooting Investigation
Detectives investigating the shooting of 5-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran and 35 year-old Roshan Selvakumar in Stockwell have arrested a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy. They are both currently in custody. Anthony McCalla, 19, of Oakdale Road south west London appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on 2 April.

A woman dubbed the 'Black Widow' has been jailed for life for killing her husband with a curry laced with a lethal overdose of prescription drugs. Dena Thompson, 42, from Yapton in West Sussex, had denied killing her second husband, 31-year-old Julian Webb, on his birthday in June 1994.
