Killer Wife Jailed For 10 Years
A 50-year-old woman from Enfield has been jailed for ten years at the Old Bailey for the manslaughter of her 73-year old husband.
Leonora Sinclair, 50, of Windward Close, was found guilty at the Old Bailey on Tuesday 25 October having been arrested at their home address on 18 January.
Detective Inspector Ken Hughes of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "I would like to pay tribute to Mr Sinclair's family who have dealt with this tragedy with great dignity and grace.
"I hope the sentence offers them some comfort and enables them to move on with their lives."
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approx 10.20pm on Saturday 15 January after reports that Winston Lloyd Sinclair [known as Lloyd] had been injured at the family home.
Mr Sinclair was taken to Chase Farm Hospital where he died the following day.
A post mortem examination gave cause of death as a stab wound to the leg.

Two Arrested In Assisted Suicide Case
Two people have been arrested in South Tyneside on suspicion of assisting the suicide of a disabled man who travelled to Switzerland to die. Retired engineer Douglas Sinclair, 76, had been suffering from the degenerative neurological disorder multiple system atrophy and was living in a care home in Jarrow.

Two Arrested In Stockwell Shooting Investigation
Detectives investigating the shooting of 5-year-old Thusha Kamaleswaran and 35 year-old Roshan Selvakumar in Stockwell have arrested a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy. They are both currently in custody. Anthony McCalla, 19, of Oakdale Road south west London appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on 2 April.

Polish-born Andrezej Kunowski has received a life sentence for murdering a 12-year-old girl at her west London home in 1997. The 48-year-old from Acton in west London had denied the murder of schoolgirl Katerina Koneva, claiming that it had been a case of mistaken identity. The 12-year-old girl was strangled when she returned home from school.

A jury has heard an 11-year-old describe how she was dragged into a north London park and subjected to three-hour ordeal during which she was repeatedly raped. The Old Bailey heard the girl was walking home when she was forced into Jubilee Park in Enfield last November. The court heard that her attacker to her to "stop moving or I will stab you".
