Winehouse Dress Fetches £43K At Auction
A dress worn by the late Amy Winehouse on the cover of her album - Back In Black - has been sold for £43K at auction.
The north London singer's dress was bought by the Museo de la Moda, a fashion museum in Santiago, Chile.
The proceeds of the sale have been donated by the dress designer, Disaya, to a foundation set up in the singer’s memory.
Winehouse was found dead at her flat in Camden in July. The musician had a notorious battle with drug addiction and was infamous for her 'rock n’ roll' lifestyle.
Dresses worn by Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn were also on sale. An ivory lace dress worn by Hepburn was expected to fetch between £40,000 and £60,000, but it failed to sell.
