Man Charged With Murder Of Homeless Man
A man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who died after an attack at a bus stop in the West-Midlands last month.
The 35-year-old from Smethwick was charged and remanded in custody on Sunday, to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
Richard Williams, 58, was found injured at a bus stop near the junction of Barford Road and Dudley Road near City Hospital in Ladywood just after midnight on 30 December. He was taken to hospital with head injuries but died a short while later.
The news comes just after another man was charged following a murder in Wolverhampton.
Police on Sunday afternoon charged a 39-year-old man with murder in connection with the death of a woman in Wolverhampton last month.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court also on Monday morning.
Shadi Afraziyan, 36, suffered fatal stab injuries at an address on Newhampton Road in the Whitmore Reans area of the city on Thursday 29 December.

Man Faces Baby Murder Charge
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby girl. Craig Jamieson, 28, from Scotscoun, appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody. Mr Jamieson was arrested on Friday, shortly after the baby died in Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, after being taken from her home in Partick.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Donald Lock in Findon, who was stabbed following a minor traffic accident in Worthing on Thursday, 16 July. Matthew Daley, of St Elmo Road, Worthing, was charged with murder and possession of a knife in a public place.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

It is understood that the ambulance service called police to an address on Shaw Road South at about 20:15 on Wednesday, 29 July. An ambulance had been called to reports that a baby had stopped breathing.
