Seven Arrested On Suspicion Of Terrorist Fundraising
Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of terrorist financing offences, according to the Metropolitan Police.
They were arrested at four separate addresses in London, Cardiff and Coventry at approximately 6am on suspicion of being concerned in the funding of a terrorist organisation, and laundering the proceeds of crime for that purpose.
They arrested a 45-year-old arrested in Croydon, a 49-year-old man arrested in Croydon, a 47-year-old man arrested in Brent, a 30-year-old man arrested in Brent, a 45-year-old man arrested in Coventry, a 42 year-old man arrested in Coventry and a 40-year-old man arrested in Cardiff.
They have been taken to a central London police station where they remain in custody.
The co-ordinated operation is led by the MPS Counter Terrorism Command, with assistance from the Counter Terrorism network, the UK Border Agency and local forces.
The arrests were a part of a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation, into suspected fundraising for terrorism overseas.

Five Charged With Syria-Related Terrorism Offences
Two men and three women are to appear before Westminster Magistrates Court charged with Syria-related terrorism offences. The men Ayman Shaukat, aged 27 of Pargetter Street, and Alex Nash, aged 21 of Bentley Road, were arrested last Tuesday, 09 June, along with Nash's wife, Yousma Jan aged 20, also of Bentley Road.

Police Dig Up Pub Patio In Search For Missing Landlady
Police investigating the disappearance of a landlady in Cambridgeshire in 1997 are digging up the patio of her former pub. Deborah Steel, 37, was landlady of the Royal Standard in Ely, Cambridgeshire, when she disappeared on 28 December 1997. Police have said that Ms Steel's disappearance is now being treated as a murder investigation.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Coventry Teenagers Arrested By Counter Terrorism Unit
West Midlands Police have reported that two Coventry teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of preparing to travel to Syria to engage in terrorism. Officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit detained the two teens, both aged 17, at their homes at 6am on Tuesday morning.
