Police In 140mph Chase With BMW
Police were involved in a high-speed chase with a BMW coupe at speeds of up to 140mph on the M25 south of London.
Police cars and a force helicopter chased the car as it sped from the Thames Valley area into Surrey, officers said.
The BMW was eventually brought to a stop after a rolling roadblock put in place at junction six, near Godstone, to slow traffic.
A Surrey Police spokesperson said: "A silver BMW coupe had been pursued by officers in both Thames Valley and the Metropolitan Police areas in connection with criminal offences, when it entered Surrey on the M25 around 2:40am.
"Officers from the Roads Policing Unit, supported by the Surrey Police helicopter, pursued the car on to the M25 anti-clockwise carriageway, where it travelled at speeds believed to be around 140mph.
"Due to the danger posed by the suspect vehicle, a decision was taken to safely stop the pursuit as soon as possible."
A 36-year-old man from London was then arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.

Driver Dies In Surrey Police Chase
A motorist has died after a crash on the M25 in Surrey after police attempted to stop the vehicle. The silver BMW collided with an articulated lorry at 11.35pm on Monday near junction 11 for Chertsey, according to Surrey Police. The BMW driver was pronounced dead at the scene but the lorry driver was uninjured.

Luxury Car Conman Jailed
A man has been jailed for 30 months for handling luxury stolen cars, following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police. Imran Khan, of Grays, Essex, fraudulently acquired vehicle log books, before cloning legitimate vehicle identities onto stolen ones. He then sold the stolen cars on through advertising media, such as Autotrader.
