Teenager Stabbed Fatally In Crowded Nightclub
A teenager was stabbed to death in a nightclub in Reading in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Jordan Malutshi, from Clapham, south London, was stabbed in the heart at The Face Bar in Chatham Street shortly before 4am, and died later in hospital.
He was stabbed as he partied among crowds to the sounds of an R&B event, where DJ Young Lion from Radio One Extra played a set.
But others in the club said they did not notice anything, as the killer seems to have snuck up on Jordan, stabbed him and run away.
Manager Sharon Northmore said: "We haven't had any problems for a long time, not compared to other places."
The club insisted had a "strict" policy to check the ID of anyone under the age of 25, but said some people may have bypassed the doormen by entering through a fire exit.
A murder investigation is under way.
Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Mahon, of the Thames Valley Police force's major crime unit, said: "This was an isolated incident in which a young man needlessly lost his life. We know there were a large number of people in the Face Bar at the time of the incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information which could assist our ongoing inquiry, to call us."
