Four Medals In 24 Hours For Team GB
Team GB has dramatically boosted its medals haul, scooping four golds in 24 hours.
Rowers Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins took the top prize in the double sculls in Eton Dorney.
Their victory takes Britain’s tally in London 2012 to six.
Either side of that triumph, the men's pair of George Nash and Will Satch, and Alan Campbell in the single sculls - won bronze.
Great Britain's Karina Bryant also claimed a bronze medal in the women's +78kg judo, taking the overall haul of medals to 19 - 11 better than at the same stage in Beijing four years ago.
Earlier, Jessica Ennis broke the British record for the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.54 seconds in the opening event of the heptathlon at the Olympic Stadium.
Her high jump of 1.86m took her to 2,249 points - 25 points ahead of the United States' Hyleas Fountain - and 103 in front of British team-mate Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who is in third.
Her time was the fastest recorded for the 100m hurdles in the heptathlon.
