Two Britons Arrested On Terrorism Charges At Heathrow
A British man and woman have been arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of committing terrorism offences, the Metropolitan Police have said.
The man and woman, both aged 26, were arrested at 20:30 on Tuesday after their flight landed at the airport.
They are being held on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
The arrests are part of an investigation into travel to Syria in support of alleged terrorist activity.
Scotland Yard confirmed both were of British nationality and said the pair had flown into the UK from Egypt.

Five Charged With Syria-Related Terrorism Offences
Two men and three women are to appear before Westminster Magistrates Court charged with Syria-related terrorism offences. The men Ayman Shaukat, aged 27 of Pargetter Street, and Alex Nash, aged 21 of Bentley Road, were arrested last Tuesday, 09 June, along with Nash's wife, Yousma Jan aged 20, also of Bentley Road.

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of terrorist financing offences, according to the Metropolitan Police. They were arrested at four separate addresses in London, Cardiff and Coventry at approximately 6am on suspicion of being concerned in the funding of a terrorist organisation, and laundering the proceeds of crime for that purpose.

Man Arrested On Terrorism Offences
A man has been arrested in Luton on suspicion of fundraising and inciting terrorism overseas, it has been reported. The Metropolitan Police said the 35-year-old has been taken into custody in London. Searches are now being carried out at three properties; two are in east London and the third is in Luton.
