More Time Given To Question Man Over Tandem Deaths
Police have been granted more time to question a 38-year-old man in connection with the death of a married couple killed when a car hit their tandem bicycle.
A 35-year-old woman, who had been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, has been released on bail pending inquiries.
Ross Simons, 34, and his wife Clare, 30, died at the scene of the incident in Hanham, near Bristol, on Sunday.
A candle-lit vigil was held for the couple on Monday night.
Three Arrested Over ‘Oompa-Loompa Attack
Police investigating an assault by people dressed as Oompa-Loompas, have arrested three men.
Norfolk police had called for witnesses to the attack on a man by four people, including two dressed as the fictional characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The attack happened on Prince of Wales Road, Norwich, between 3.20am and 3.30am on 27 December.
On Monday, a spokesman said: "Two men in their late teens and one man in his early 20s, all from the North Walsham area, were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of GBH."
The men have been released on bail until March.
Paul Scholes Defrosting Car Stolen
Manchester United footballer Paul Scholes has had his car stolen after he left its engine running while defrosting the windscreen.
Police said the grey Chevrolet estate had been taken from the drive of his house in Greenfield, Oldham at around 08:00 GMT on Monday.
A police spokesman said "inquiries to locate the car are ongoing".
Scholes is understood to have the car as part of the motor company's sponsorship of the Premier League club.

Two more arrested over attempted car bombings
Police investigating the attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow airport have arrested two more people. Two men, aged 28 and 25, were arrested in the Paisley area, west of Glasgow on Sunday night Five people are still being held in connection with the attacks, but it is believed that at least one suspect remains on the run.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

Man Arrested Over 1998 Car Bomb Attack In Moira
A man has been arrested in connection with a car bomb attack at Moira police station 16 years ago. The blast injured eleven people including seven police officers outside the station on 20th February 1998. The 500lb device also caused extensive damage to the building as well as nearby houses and cars.
