Birmingham Men Guilty Of Terrorism Plot
Three Birmingham men have been found guilty of terrorism charges.
Irfan Naseer, 31, Irfan Khalid, 27, and Ashik Ali, 27, were found guilty at Woolwich Crown Court of being "central figures" in a plot to become suicide bombers
The court heard the men aspired to eclipse the 7 July and 9/11 atrocities.
Jurors were told they planned to set off up to eight bombs in rucksacks and possibly detonate bombs on timers.
HMRC Publish List Of Tax Dodgers
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have for the first time published a list of tax dodgers.
The list highlights "deliberate defaulters" who were found during investigations by HMRC into affairs conducted after April 2010.
The naming and shaming exercise is part of a crackdown that includes larger fines and tracing previous evaders.
Lord McAlpine Drops Some Twitter Defamation Claims
Lord McAlpine, who following a Newsnight programme was wrongly accused of child abuse, has dropped defamation claims against some Twitter users.
He will not pursue action against those with fewer than 500 followers, but will instead ask for a donation to the BBC's Children In Need, he has said.

A 16-year-old girl has been sentenced to serve a minimum of 10 years after killing a teenage with an afro comb. Rebecca Douglas, who was 15 at the time of the incident, stabbed Julie Sherriff, 16, in the head with a pintail comb.

Ten Jailed Over £36m Drug Smuggling Plot
Ten men convicted of attempting to smuggle drugs worth £36 million into Britain in a rusty tugboat, have been jailed. The smugglers – including British criminals and members of a Serbian gang – were caught trying to flood the UK with 12.5 tonnes of cannabis resin, following a surveillance operation by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca).
