ISPs Head For No 10 For Internet Porn And Child Abuse Talks
No 10 will meet with a number of internet service providers (ISPs) to discuss concerns surrounding children accessing pornography online and the availability of child sex abuse.
It is understood that the prime minister has called for more to be done to remove illegal content from the web, while Labour have added that voluntary controls are not working.
SO far ISPs have refused to act on calls to make parental controls and filters a default setting.
Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Facebook, BT, Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, Vodafone, O2, EE and Three will attend the meeting at No 10, to be chaired by Culture Secretary Maria Miller.

Witnesses Sought To Alleged Wimbledon Rape
Police have appealed for witnesses following an alleged rape in Wimbledon in the early hours of Sunday morning. Officers were called at approximately 02:00 on Sunday, 25 October, by the victim, a 34-year-old woman, who stated she had been attacked 30 minutes earlier in Dundonald Recreation Ground, Dundonald Road.

Met Combine All Ongoing Historical Child Abuse Investigations
The Metropolitan Police has combined all ongoing investigations into historical child abuse, to be led by a newly formed investigation team under Detective Superintendent Ang Scott. The force said that is has decided to combine Operations Midland and Fairbank following the discovery of a number of people and locations common to both enquiries.

Man Jailed For Further 17 Years Over New Historical Child Abuse Charges
A Plymouth man has been jailed for a further 17 years over historic child abuse charges, following a trial at Plymouth Crown Court. Hinton Sheryn was found guilty of 18 counts of indecent assault and gross indecency with children dating back to the 1970s and 80s, and sentenced to 17 years in jail.
