Two Arrested In Connection With Mosque Fire
Two men have been arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack on a mosque in Gloucester.
A fire was reported at the Masjid-e-Noor mosque in Ryecroft Street at around 12.50am on Tuesday.
It is understood that CCTV caught footage showed a man pouring liquid around a door before setting light to a rag and tossing it at the door.
The footage goes on to show the man getting into a car and being driven away by another man.
Police arrested a 20-year-old man on Tuesday evening and a 37-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with the fire.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

A suspect package found in a courtroom has lead to the evacuation of the Old Bailey in London. According to report a package was found in court 11, where Ukrainian student Pavlo Lapshyn was being sentenced for murder and plotting to cause mosque explosions.

Appeal After Man Found In Burning Car
Police are appealing for information concerning the death of a man found in a burning car. Officers were called to reports of a car on fire at Mowlem Trading Estate, near to Leeside Road, N17, shortly after 1:00am on 17 December 2008. The London Fire Brigade were in attendance extinguishing the fire when they discovered a person inside.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.
