Teacher Admits Sex With Pupil
A 24-year-old teacher has been given an eight month suspended sentence after admitting two offences of sexual activity with a male aged 13 to 17.
Roseanna Langley, who taught at St James High School in Exeter, is reported to have sent naked pictures of herself to a 16-year-old school boy, and she allegedly miscarried his baby.
Ms Langley was uncovered after rumours spread around the school that she had become involved with one of her pupils.
She was sacked after admitting that she had been having a sexual relationship with the boy.
She was also ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid community work, will be on the sex offenders' register for 10 years and has been barred from working with children and young people indefinitely.

A 22-year-old Islam-convert has pleaded guilty to a failed terrorist attack in Devon earlier this year. Nicky Reilly admitted charges of attempted murder and terrorism offences relating to the suicide bomb-bid at a restaurant in May.

A North Somerset primary school teacher has been given an indeterminate public protection order for a catalogue of sexual abuse against young girl pupils in his care. He will only be released when it is safe to do so and this equates to a determinate sentence of 24 years.

£1bn is being unlocked to fund the Department of Education's free school meals commitment. The news, announced by deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, follows an announcement in September that every child in reception, year 1 and year 2 in state-funded schools will receive a free school lunch.
