Two Die In Light Aircraft Crash

An investigation has been launched after a light aircraft crashed in Leicestershire killing two people onboard.

Leicestershire Police have said that the crash happened on Sunday evening at around 18:45 in a field in Fenny Drayton.

Two people onboard the plane were confirmed dead at the scene.

Police are trying to establish where the plane took off from on Sunday.

Air Accidents Investigation Branch are due to examine the scene today.

A man and a woman have died after a light aircraft crashed near the runway at Airbus UK Broughton. Police were informed of the incident involving a twin engine light aircraft at 1.07pm on Friday 15 November. Police, Ambulance and the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended.

Two Die In Chester Plane Crash
Two men were killed when their light aircraft crashed near Churton village, south of Chester, on Thursday night, the Guardian has reported. A Cheshire police spokeswoman said: "Sadly the two men on board the aircraft, one from north Wales and a second man from Surrey, sustained fatal injuries.

Multiple Fatalities In Leicestershire Crash
Six people have died in a collision between a car and a lorry in Leicestershire, police have confirmed. The A607 near Melton Mowbray was closed in both directions following the crash. Police were called to the scene of the collision about a mile south of the town centre at 1.55am on Thursday.
