Police Search Roadside For Body Of Missing Woman
Police in Manchester are searching a 15-mile stretch of the A19 for the body of Rania Alayed, who has been missing since early June.
The 25-year-old mother-of-three was reported missing from her Cheetham Hill home on 2 July. However, police believe that she was last seen on 7 June, at around 7.30pm on Rodney Street, near Arthur Millwood Court, Salford.
Her husband and brother-in-law were subsequently charged with her murder.
Police have now said they have reason to believe that her body could be somewhere along a 15-mile stretch of the A19 in North Yorkshire, near Thirsk.
Police are also keen to trace a white camper van that was seen on the road on 8 June.
Some 350 letters have been sent to drivers who are believed to have been on the A19 or A168 on that day, asking if they have any information.
