GMP Officer Charged With Rape
A Greater Manchester Police officer has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 26-year-old woman while on duty.
It has been revealed that 37-year-old Stuart Jenkins, of Holcombe Brook Road, Bury, was arrested in May and is due to appear in court on October 31.
News of the rape charge were released at the time of the arrest, but it has only been revealed that the suspect is a police officer.
The officer has been suspended pending the results of the case.
It is understood the alleged rape took place in between 24 December 2010 and 1 January 2011.

A serving police office has been charged with seven counts of rape and one count of assault. PC Michael Graham, 47, an officer in Hounslow, was arrested at his home on 06 October and charged the following day. He has been suspended from duty while officers from Sexual Offences Exploitation & Child Abuse are investigating.

An investigation into rape allegations against Conservative MP Mark Pritchard have been dropped, Scotland Yard has confirmed. Mr Pritchard, MP for The Wrekin in Shropshire, was arrested on 2 December, however he was released on police bail. He has now been informed no further action will be taken.
