Former Sun Reporter First To Be Charged Under Operation Tuleta
The first person to be charged in relation to Operation Tuleta, an investigation into alleged computer hacking and privacy breaches, is former Sun reporter Ben Ashford, who is facing once offence of passession of criminal property and one of unauthorised access to computer material.
Operation Tuleta is being run alongside Operation Elveden and began in the wake of the phone hacking scandal.
According to reports, the offences Mr Ashford is accused of allegedly took place between 11 and 19 October, 2009.
He will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on 15 October.
To date some 21 people have been arrested as part of Operation Tuleta. 19 remain under investigation with the remaining two told that no further action will be taken.

Former Police Officer Admits Selling Information
A former police officer has admitted to selling information to the newspaper The Sun. According to the BBC, 30-year-old James Bowes is now facing jail after he pleaded guilty to one count of misconduct in public office. Mr Bowes was a police sergeant on the Sussex Police neighbourhood policing team.
