Schools Close As Teachers Hold One-Day Strike
A teachers strike across England has led to the closure of a number of schools in a dispute of pay, pensions and jobs.
In an ongoing dispute the one-day strike action is underway in London, Cumbria, the South East, North East and South West.
Teachers are protesting over plans proposed by Michael Gove to introduce performance-related pay, increased workloads and revised pensions.
Critics of the teachers industrial action however have said that it is not bad for pupils and parent, but was unlikely to change government policy.
