Coroner Pleads Guilty To Fraud

A coroner has pleaded guilty to stealing from the estates of dead people.

57-year-old Alan Crickmore, coroner for Gloucestershire until he was suspended in December 2010, pleaded guilty to 24 counts of fraud, totalling some £2 million.

According to reports Crickmore was bailed and electronically tagged ahead of sentencing on November 28.

Man Pleads Guilty To Abducting 6-Year-Old
A 34-year-old man has pleaded guilty to kidnapping an 6-year-old girl in Burnley with intent to commit a sexual offence. At Preston Crown Court, Imran Khan, of Pendle Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to kidnap, kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence and breach of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

Chief Inspector Pleads Guilty To Drugs Offences
The Metropolitan Police is to launch a misconduct investigation after a serving Chief Inspector pleaded guilty to drugs charges. On Thursday, 43-year-old Paul Cahill, appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of Class A drugs, one count each of possession of Class B and Class C drugs.

Man Pleads Guilty To Rape And GBH
A 35-year-old man has pleaded guilty to charges of rape and grievous bodily harm at Isleworth Crown Court. Lakhvinder Singh, of Hayes, Middlesex, was sentenced to 8 years in jail for the rape and assault of a female victim, praised by police for reporting the incidents.

Convicted Killer Pleads Guilty To Graham Buck Murder
Convicted killer Ian John McLoughlin has pleaded guilty to the murder of Graham Buck, who died trying to help his neighbour in Little Gaddesden, Hertfordshire, in July. 55-year-old McLoughlin was on day release from prison when he fatally stabbed Graham Buck (66) in the neck.
