Police Seize 3D Printer And Suspected Plastic Gun Parts
Forensic experts in Manchester are examining suspected "homemade" gun parts seized by police during raids in Wythenshawe on Thursday.
Greater Manchester Police uncovered a 3D printer along with a plastic trigger and magazine. Detectives suspect that the plastic components could fit together to make a firearm.
If tests show that the plastic parts could make a functioning firearm it would be the "first ever seizure of this kind in the UK", a police spokesman said.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of making gunpowder and remains in custody.
The investigation continues.
