UK Doctors And Paramedics To Go To Philippines
12 doctors and paramedics are to be sent to help aid efforts in the Philippines in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan.
David Cameron made the announcement, saying that the group would leave shortly alongside the first consignment of aid from Britain.
The UK has already pledged £10m in aid and sent a Royal Navy warship to help.
It is feared Typhoon Haiyan has killed up to 10,000 people and displaced hundreds of thousands more.
Film Director Apologies Over Remembrance Sunday War Scenes
The director of a new Brad Pitt movie have apologised for filming war scene, featuring extras in Nazi uniforms, on Remembrance Sunday.
David Ayer, the director of Fury, expressed his "heartfelt apologies for any disrespect caused".
Pre-dawn explosions and scenes using extras dressed in Nazi uniform were filmed in an Oxfordshire village.
Virgin Media Announce Bill And Speed Increase
Virgin Media customer are to be hit with a 6.7% increase in their bills from February next year.
The company claim that the increase, announced alongside an increase in broadband speed for customer, will help them stay competitive.
Some 12.5 million homes served by its fibre-optic broadband service will have the speed increased up to 152Mbps.
Adding that it was also working to increase the speed of other broadband services by up to 20Mbps.

Rural campaigners are urging the government to introduce 30mph speed limits in villages. A survey by the Campaign to Protect Rural England found that 70% of county councils are not implementing a 30mph speed limit in villages. In Buckinghamshire, the researchers found that over 100 villages had a 60mph speed limit.

Electric car speed record attempt rescheduled
Following the postponement of Thursday's attempt on the official land speed record for an electric powered vehicle, the team of British engineers hope to be able to make a run later today. Thursday's planned attempt had to be abandoned due to strong crosswinds in the area of the Nevada test run site.

UK Unemployment Drops In Three Months To February
Unemployment in the UK has fallen by 76,000 in the three months to February, down 1.3% on the same period in 2014, new figures from the Office for National Statistics(ONS) have revealed. UK unemployment now stands at 1.84 million, or 5.6%, which the ONS said is in line with forecasts.

Poundland could open over 1,000 stores in the UK as it has seen a steady rise in profits. The firm's profits increased 15% in the year to March. The discount chain, which currently has 458 stores across the UK, recorded total sales of £880m for the year to March, with the store now considering expansion.
