Chris Boardman Urges London Mayor To Consider HGV Ban
Heavy good vehicles should be banned from some London Roads, Olympic cyclist Chris Boardman has said.
Boardman called on London mayor Boris Johnson to honour a "promise" he made to review similar schemes in operation in other countries around the world.
The Olympic cyclist made the call following the death of six cyclists in the city in just two weeks.
However, speaking to BBC London 94.9, Mr Johnson said that he was "not convinced" by the argument.
Figures show that of the 14 cyclists killed so far this year, nine involved HGV lorries.
