Ian Watkins Pleads Guilty To 13 Charges Of Child Sexual Offences
The former frontman of Welsh rock band Lostprophets Ian Watkins has pleaded guilty to 13 charges of sex offences against children, including the attempted rape of a baby.
The 36-year-old from Pontypridd had previously "furiously denied" the charges against but charged his plea on the opening day of his trial on Tuesday.
Watkins was charged alongside two woman, who it was found "sexually abused their own children and made them available to Watkins for him to abuse."
Watkins admitted three counts of sexual assault involving children and six involving taking, making or possessing indecent images of children and one of possessing an extreme pornographic image involving a sex act on an animal.
It is understood that the evidence of Watkins abuse was discovered on computers, laptops and mobile phones.
The two women, who's identities cannot be revealed for legal reasons, charged alongside Watkins also pleaded guilty.
Woman A, admitted the attempted rape of a baby after denying rape and two charges of sexual assault as well as taking and distributing an indecent photograph of a child.
Woman B pleaded guilty to conspiring to rape a child, three sexual assault charges and four charges of taking, possessing or distributing indecent images.
Sentencing will take place on 18 December.
The police chief who lead the investigation into Ian Watkins has appealed for other victims to come forward.
Speaking after the first day of Watkins' trial, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Doyle said: "The outcome does not mark the end of our investigations and we will work tirelessly to identify any other victims or witnesses and seek the justice they deserve."

A 21-year-old man has been sentenced following a child sexual exploitation investigation in Brighton. Kasey Knowles, of no fixed address, was charged with six counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15. All the charges relate to one girl.
