Edinburgh Airports Closes After A Suspect Package Is Found
Edinburgh Airport has been evacuated after a suspect package was discovered.
A bomb disposal team is currently at the scene and a passenger is being questioned.
The incident occurred at approximately 2pm today.
Edinburgh Airport said an investigation is underway and all flights have been leaving from the airport have been cancelled.

Competition Commission Questions BAA Role
The Competition Commission has ruled that the British Airports Authority's (BAA) possession of several UK airports may not be in the "interests of either airlines or passengers". While the commission has not reached any decision it is expected that it will call for BAA to sell one or more of its seven airports in its August report.

Suspect package found at Tesco store
A controlled explosion has been carried out on a suspect package found in a Tesco store in Bristol. Police were called to the store in the Eastville area of the city around 7:45am on Monday morning after the package was discovered. Bomb disposal experts were called and the package was blown up around 11:15am.

Green Custard Thrown At Peer In Protest
A female protester has thrown green custard over the Business Secretary as he arrived at a low-carbon summit in London. Leila Deen, a member of the Plane Stupid activist group, campaigning over the third runway at Heathrow, carried out the stunt as Lord Mandelson emerged from his chauffeur-driven Jaguar in Central London.

Businessman Fined Over Damage To Ancient Woods
Natural England has won its case against a businessman in Cumbria who was found to have caused damage to an ancient woodland on his land. Philip Day was order to pay a fine of £450,000 and court fees of £475,000 in connection with the felling of trees and the excavation of land in order to build an access track in Gelt Woods.

CC Orders BAA To Sell Two Airports
The Competition Commission (CC) has ordered BAA to sell both Gatwick and Stansted as well as either Edinburgh or Glasgow. In its final report on BAA's ownership of seven UK airports, the CC also stipulates that BAA must sell all three airports within two years.
