Police Appeal Following Attack On Student In Brent
Detectives in Brent are appealing for information following a violent attack in which a student was stabbed.
The incident took place in Willesden Lane, outside Brondesbury Court, NW2, at 00.35 hrs on the 5th January.
The victim, who is a 30-year-old Spanish national, was approached by two males who attempted to steal his rucksack.
A struggle ensued when he refused to give up the bag during which the victim was slashed with a knife.
He received serious injuries and was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital where his condition is now stable and non-life-threatening.
An investigation into the incident is now under way, led by detectives from Brent CID.
The two suspects are described as black males, aged approximately between 18 and 20 years.
Detective Constable Fiona Davidson of Brent CID said: "This was a shockingly violent attack on a man who was simply attempting to prevent the robbery of his bag.
"I would urge anyone who saw what happened, or who has information about those responsible, to make contact with police."

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.

Police have released details of two suspects said to be involved in an attempted robbery in Wembley. Last Tuesday, 3 November at around 4.45pm, a 23-year-old woman was shopping in Preston Road, HA9 with her two-year-old daughter. Two female suspects approached her and demanded money, gradually becoming more aggressive.
