April Jones' Murderer Drops Appeal
The man convicted of the murder of five-year-old April Jones has dropped his appeal against his whole-life sentence.
Mark Bridger kidnapped the girl and sexually abused her before disposing her body, which has never been found.
He was convicted and given a whole-life tariff.
Bridger kidnapped April near her home in Machynlleth on 1 October 2012.

An inmate who attacked Mark Bridger in prison has been given a second life sentence. 24-year-old convicted murderer and rapist Juvinal Ferreira attacked Bridger, jailed for the murder of five-year-old April Jones, with a knife, made from a razor, at Wakefield prison in July.

Liberton High School To Reopen After Teen Death
Edinburgh city council has announced that Liberton High School is to reopen on 22nd April, following the death of 12-year-old Keane Wallis-Bennett. The pupil died after a wall collapsed on top of her inside the school. The school has now been declared safe by the structural engineers who passed the building inspection.

Foreign Hauliers To Be Charged To Use UK Roads
Foreign hauliers will be charged to use UK roads for the first time from tomorrow, 1st April, Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has announced. UK truck drivers working in Europe currently pay tolls and levies when delivering goods abroad. But foreign trucks operating in the UK have not been required to make a similar payment.
